The application is the same, they are both methacrylate based mixtures that will infiltrate any pockets in your wood and stabilize it to a turnable form. The BVV wood stabilizer does not discolor the wood as much as the cactus juice, especially for lighter woods such as birch. Another difference is that the BVV wood stabilizer is premixed unlike the cactus juice which uses a catalyst that you have to add in.
