In short path distillation we use a circulating heater to condense the vapors produced by boiling the botanical extract in the boiling flask. In this kit it is a 7L polyscience heater used as a "chiller", but the temperature of the heater is far lower than the vapor temperature to allow to vapor to condense and become a liquid.
