Side vs top mounted hardware on vacuum chambers
BVV 5 Gallon Aluminum Side Mount Vacuum Chamber
Hello
Thinking this may be a common question, but I've had a hard time finding an answer that didn't come off as just a guess.
What are you comparing when looking at top- or side-mounted hardware on a vacuum chamber?
My best guess is it has to do with the flow direction back into the chamber when pressure is re-introduced. Even filtered, move that air laterally, not down towards the material just under pressure?
But it could be vis-blocking of the material (even if slight), or implications for wear/tear on the lid vs side walls?
Thanks, looking forward to picking up a chamber, just wanted to get this sorted.
/D

There are really no differences as far as performance goes. The side mounted hardware is so it is easier to see through the chamber lid.
