Clamp the filter plate with disc side up, it will give a firm base the CRC column so you can pack on it without breaking the top sintered disk.
Does the filter plate get clamped with the disc side up or down? 1LB Inline CRC Kit Extractor Accessories
Video shows which sintered discs go where but not which is right side up for the filter plate
