Should the tip on the gauge be resealed or left cut like the sticker says?

the rubber seal on top of the gauge does not have to be resealed, it needs to allow the gauge to zero to the atmospheric pressure of your location. Glycerine can leak out of the puncture if the lid is not stored in an upright position, this will not effect performance but it will make a mess.
