Wood stabilizing resin will penetrate the wood and replace the air pockets (within a vacuum chamber or pressure chamber). After hardening the resin by curing in an oven it will make the wood more dense and increase its workability and decrease deterioration over time. It will work on all woods, the difference will be more noticeable in a softer wood with more air pockets.
