Why does it need degassed?

I've never had time degass cactus juice.

The de-gas operation is to remove excess air that may have been absorbed by the stabilizer due to shaking during shipment. Degassing the stabilizer will shorten the cure time and will reduce the risk that bubbles will be generated during the cure process.
